Janee Pannkuk
Janee grew up in rural Nebraska, the daughter of two motorcycle-riding parents, who would often share stories of their motorcycle-riding adventures.
Motorcycling was such an interest for Janee that she had one consistent Halloween costume, her parent’s leather riding gear as her trick-or-treat costume and the use of a helmet as her trick-or-treat candy bucket. At about age 4 or 5, Janee remembers telling her father when she was old enough, that they would ride their HOGs up to Sturgis and explore the Black Hills, riding together and embracing all the memories the adventure and beautiful scenery had to offer.
When Janee was six years of age, her father had a minibike he rode, that Janee continually asked if she could ride. After weeks of non-stop requests, Janee’s dad replied, “You can ride it when you can start it:. Apparently, her father had forgotten how OCD she is. Within three hours, Janee had the minibike started and hasn’t stopped riding since.
In 1998, Janee & her father made their maiden voyage to Sturgis Bike Week!! This was the first of several motorcycle escapades they were blessed to share, but they always returned to the Black Hills.
Janee’s passion for motorcycling has led her to become a Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Basic Rider Coach, and a Harley Davidson New Rider Coach (NRC), assisting in introducing new motorcycle riders to the joys and exhilaration of motorcycling. Janee has thoroughly enjoyed sharing the beauty, wildlife, history, and diversity of motorcycle riding experiences with others over the past 20 years. Janee’s passion for motorcycling, the Black Hills, and sharing the beauty of the area with others is the inspiration behind Bison Women’s MC Tours.
The Bison Women’s MC Tours is inspired by more than two decades of providing motorcycle tours to friends and family members throughout the Black Hills region. Bison Women’s MC Tours is a labor of love and an ambitious aspiration that has been imagined, discussed, re-imagined, and has finally come to fruition! The foundational premise of Bison Women’s MC Tours is to provide a safe, low-stress, and high-enjoyment Black Hills motorcycle riding experience with other passionate motorcycle-riding women.
